Welcome

The Lancaster Group is the newest group of the Sierra Club's Pennsylvania Chapter and is committed to supporting all issues and programs related to improving and enhancing the environment, through educational outreach and other activities.

Monthly public group meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month (except July and December) and begin at 6:30 PM. Meetings are held in room 111 of Lancaster Country Day School, 725 Hamilton Road, Lancaster, PA (unless otherwise noted) and are open to both members and non-members of the Sierra Club.

Hike at Steinman/Trout Run Nature Preserve

Saturday, June 23, 2012 – 9 AM

Join us for this three-mile moderately difficult hike that winds through the scenic woodlands of southern Lancaster County. If you have a field guide, bring it along.

3rd Annual Polar Bear 5K Trail Run/Hike

Saturday, January 19, 2013 – 10 AM

The Lancaster Group of the Sierra Club cordially invites you to participate in this 5K (3.1 miles) trail race to show your support for the environment and specifically the plight of polar bears. This 2013 race will be held in scenic Lancaster County Central Park, at the same location as last January's event.
